About:

Ron has been heavily involved in tennis over the past 20 years. He started playing competitive tennis in 2003 where his team qualified and competed at USTA Nationals. In 2005, he created the free Chubbuck Day’s tournament that is still going strong today. From 2009 to present, Ron has been a member of the IdTA Board of Directors where he served as past President and as the Idaho representative on the Intermountain Board. Ron became the head tennis coach for Highland High School in 2010 where he is still coaching today. In 2012, the Osborn family was awarded the USTA National Family of the Year. The Osborn Tennis Complex was completed in 2014. Ron designed and secured grant funding totaling nearly a half a million dollars to build the 8- court complex. In 2014 he started the annual RO Tennis Camp and was certified as a USPTA Elite Tennis Professional. For all his efforts to grow and promote the game of tennis over the past 2 decades, Ron was inducted into the Intermountain Tennis Hall of Fame in 2017.
